Notary services will be launching in early 2027 and will be available by scheduled appointment.

Exclusions:

• Closings - It's illegal for us to be the notary on your closing paperwork if we are also your agent for the transaction.
• Vehicle/Trailer Title & Tags - PennDOT must approve notaries to perform these services and requires a physical location (no mobile notary can perform these services). We do have a physical office on our road map and maybe someday, but that's a while away.

All the tools and equipment are 100% free of charge for you to borrow.

-Cleaning solution for carpet cleaners is not provided at this time.

-Some equipment may require a cleaning deposit refunded if the item is returned in a clean condition (we love you - not enough to clean up after you.)

Please do! You're helping the entire community and them you. Just shoot us a text, email, or a call with what you want to donate so we can ensure it's not an item on a list that has some type of regulation.

We don't want to be like Blockbuster, but we will hit you with a small late return fee as at some point, you're being late means someone else won't have an item they reserved on time. BUT... all the late fees go to buying more items for the tool shed so you're tardiness is helping the greater good and possibly yourself later. Late fees are one of the ways we can grow the inventory faster - but please be respectful and return on time so you're not messing up someone else's plans.

You'll be flogged in the public square. Hey, things break. As long as it occurs during normal use just let us know what happened. If/when we replace the item, it might help us pick a more durable brand or steer clear of a problematic model. Some items may have warranty coverage, and we'll just need the details if we need to file a warranty claim.

But what if my kid did something really stupid to it that isn't normal waer and tear causing breakage?

He'll be sent to the Goblin King in the Labyrinth and made to sing David Bowie songs for all eternity. Bonus if you get this reference and read this far. In all seriousness, if you legit broke the item in a careless/abusive manner - er, you kid, right? Ahem, then you'll just be charged the deposit fee.

Everything is free of charge. However, deposits may be required for certain equipment. You will be charged a late fee based upon the schedule listed for each item in the online reservation store because other people may have it reserved. If we didn't charge a late fee, there's no incentive to return items on time. If an item is returned dirty and we have to clean it, a cleaning fee will be assessed and deducted from your deposit. We love you, but not enough to clean up your mess. The good news is that when we do collect a fee, it's going into a savings fund to grow the program.

The Tool Shed is located in a Guardian Storage in Greentree in Parkway Center next to the County Police.

You are provided a temporary access code for the storage unit. In most cases, we'll have your rental ready for you - otherwise, every item has a numbered location on the shelves and your order will include all the numbers to grab while there. The codes are changed after every order.

Simply put the item in the returns area, and ensure you check it in inside the app to avoid a late charge. Late charges help ensure timely returns in the event others have the item reserved and are always used to help add more items to the Community Tool Shed.
